Eng. Vajid H. Jafri
Vajid Jafri is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Onriva, a company he established in 2016 with a focus on utilizing AI/Machine Learning, Conversational Voice Technologies, and NDC (New Distribution Capability)—the innovative broadband standard adopted by the airline industry to streamline and improve the online travel booking experience. Throughout his career, Jafri has founded eight successful companies in the travel industry, each of which introduced pioneering technologies that have driven industry advancements.
From 2011 to 2016, Jafri served as the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Mondee.com, where he secured over $200 million in funding and built the world’s largest airline ticket consolidator, achieving over $4.5 billion in annual sales. He is also a recognized innovator, holding a patent for the first internet booking engine and recently securing three additional patents for the Onriva platform.
Jafri earned a Master’s degree in Engineering from Stanford University in California, USA, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Pakistan.
Vajid Jafri’s construction experience is rooted in a solid foundation of engineering expertise and a deep understanding of project management. With a background in engineering, Jafri has been involved in various aspects of construction, from design and planning to overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects. His experience spans both domestic and international markets, where he has successfully managed teams and resources to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
Eng. Khalid Hussain Jafri
Khalid is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. His expertise in project management and engineering is ensuring a successful completion. This project represents the culmination of his years of experience in the construction industry, highlighting his ability to manage complex developments that blend commercial and residential spaces.
Before venturing into private construction projects, Khalid had a distinguished career with the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) in Pakistan, where he worked from 1968 to 1977. During his tenure at WAPDA, Khalid held the crucial role of engineer in charge across various departments, including Distribution, Metering and Testing (M&T), and Transmission. His responsibilities included overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure, ensuring reliable power distribution and transmission across different regions.
Khalid’s educational background is equally impressive, with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Pakistan. His academic training laid a strong foundation for his technical skills, which he has applied throughout his career in both the public and private sectors. Khalid’s blend of technical expertise, leadership, and practical experience has made him a respected figure in the engineering and construction industries.
Eng. Sajid H. Jafri
He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area where he has number of real estate investments. While working at Documents in 1990, he was the key person responsible to develop the first stand alone ATM like machine complete with the supporting network to dispense airline and event tickets on demand in the USA. He holds the patents for this technology jointly with his brother Vajid. Sajid graduated from Pakistan University of Engineering & Technology with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Syed Hassan Abbas
Hassan is a talented and seasoned Global Commercial Banker(Vice President) with over 20 years of experience in financial services and financial technology platforms (FinTech). He brings a wealth of expertise from Bank of America, Citigroup, American Express and Carlson Wagonlit with particular strengths in areas such as debt/equity financing, treasury management, derivatives, FX hedging and special focus on credit card processing both on the acquiring and issuance side. Over $4.5 Billion annually is processed through his proprietary FinTech platforms. With an abundance of international payment processing experience, Hassan has a strong understanding of various markets throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East to maximize financial arbitrage efficiencies. In addition to his executive career, Hassan serves as a trustee on the Daud Bandagi Kirmani Trust a non-profit foundation that feeds and educates underserved children in Pakistan. Hassan is also part of a think tank that focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, cognitive science and neural networks in collaboration with PARC Labs OnRiva Inc. He holds a BS in Finance/Management Information Systems from California State University San, Francisco, USA.
